We have chosen our AMHA mares according to their elegance, good back line and quality gaits, but also in relation to the history of their lines in terms of reproduction. It seems important to us to choose broodmares whose ancestry is known to take mating easily and have few problems during birth ( lactation , maternal instinct ...). They are also often larger than our stallions in order, in particular, to increase our chances of successfully correcting obstructed labor.
They live in herds in the meadow , with their stallions and returned to the box a few weeks before and after foaling. Generally and depending on their physical condition, our mares give birth to 2 foals before taking a year off. Year during which they are put back to work in order to build them again and thus guarantee tonicity and balance (physical and mental) essential for reproduction.
